Ponca City Monthly publishes community-submitted content — announcements, classifieds, public notices, and obituaries. These standards keep our pages welcoming, accurate, and trustworthy for everyone in Ponca City.
Every submission is reviewed by our team before it goes live. We may edit for length, clarity, or style, and we reserve the right to decline anything that doesn't meet the standards below.
What We Welcome
- — Genuine local news: engagements, weddings, new babies, milestones, and remembrances
- — Honest classifieds and notices for real items, services, and events
- — Content that is accurate, in good taste, and relevant to our community
What We Don't Allow
- — False, misleading, or deceptive information
- — Hate speech, harassment, threats, or attacks on individuals or groups
- — Profanity, obscenity, or sexually explicit material
- — Anything illegal, or the sale of illegal, dangerous, or prohibited items
- — Scams, fraud, spam, or repetitive/duplicate postings
- — Personal information about others shared without their consent
- — Content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademarks
Accuracy & Good Faith
Submit information you know to be true. Announcements about other people (a wedding, a birth, a passing) should be made with their knowledge and consent where appropriate. Photos you submit must be ones you have the right to share.
Editorial Review
Submissions are not published automatically. Our editors review each one and may approve, edit, hold, or decline it. We aim to review submissions within one business day. Declining a submission isn't a judgment of any person — it simply means the content didn't fit these standards or our space.
